My work is an exploration of the fractal geometry of nature, and a study into the architecture of organic growth as a way of communicating my fascination with its intricacies. Identifying the inherent harmony that exists within the living world, my aim is to highlight this underlying unity and develop a visual language for it through herbal dye methods, natural earth pigment painting, and ceramic sculpture. My paintings act as a mirror to the self-organising patterns found within nature, exploring the ways in which I can convey the beauty of structure and natural form - not only in the outcome of a piece and the patterns produced, but ultimately in the process.
